GLORIA BORNSEN Obituary

Gloria A. Bornsen, nee Vaughn, age 85, of The Meadows of Glen Ellyn, IL, and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, formerly of Oakbrook and Lombard, IL, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2011, at Good Samaritan Hospital. Gloria was the beloved wife of fifty-seven years to the late Carl G. Bornsen; cherished mother of the late Cynthia A. Bornsen; and loving sister of the late Wallace B. Vaughn (Lee). She was the dear aunt of Glenn (Paula) Bornsen of El Cajon, CA; dear Godmother to Brian (Christopher Fill) Hofmann of Glen Ellyn, IL; and dear friend to Carol (Gunnar) Hogfelt of Batavia, IL. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace A. and Mary Helen Bond Vaughn. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., followed by a funeral service from 10 to 10:30 a.m., at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, IL 60148. Interment will follow at Concordia Cemetery, 7900 W. Madison St., Forest Park, IL 60130. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Suburban Humane Society, 1901 W.
