Grace Swanson Obituary
Grace Swanson, nee Rogers/Rogaar, of Elgin. Born February 25, 1920 in Veendam, Netherlands, passed away August 30, 2007. Loving mother of Grace (Leroy) Graves, Roger (Sheila) Swanson; caring grandmother of Scott (Ann Marie) Graves, Lori (Ken) Lenard, Lisa (Michael) Sparreo and Randy (Becky) Graves; amazing great-grandmother of Ryan, Madeleine Grace, Raechel, Alycia, Jessica, Jackson, Natalie, Jacob, Isabelle, Samuel, Joshua and Clayton; special cousin of Ann Canard. Grace was a long time volunteer at St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, amassing over 27,000 hours of service. Visitation Tuesday, 4 to 9 p.m., at the Countryside Funeral Home, 1640 Greenmeadows Blvd. (at Barrington Rd.), Streamwood/Schaumburg. Funeral services Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. Interment Elwood Cemetery, River Grove, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. 630-289-8054.
