For several season we sat in adjoining seats at Lyric Opera. Mr. Field was such a lovely gentleman, so full of life and fun and art facts. He shared music CDs with me of his favorite singers. He always inquired about our children. We miss him and speak of him often at the opera.

Ann -- So sorry to hear the news of your dad's passing. Hugh has been a dear friend for over 30 years. One of the nicest guys I have had the pleasure to know and work with. My deepest sympathies.

Ann, words cannot express my sorrow for your loss. Your dad was the kindest, gentle, loving father and a true gentleman. He was such a great friend, I will miss him dearly. I will always love you Senior Campo. My heartfelt condolence goes out to you and your family.

Hugh was a long time contributor to the Jazz Forum at the North Shore Senior Center, and with Carolyn Schiele often shared their jazz collections with us. We miss them both.

Hugh Field stole my heart from the day I met him. He was a great husband, father and friend. I had the pleasure of working with him and being his friend for many years at Sargent & Lundy. Hugh and Peggy Sue celebrated my wedding and I will always remember him as the gentlest, sweetest and most caring man. He taught us all that life was very special and always had the best attitude through thick and thin. I will always love you Mr. Field. I think of you often and always will. I can still hear your wonderful laugh.

Hugh ("HK") was a great friend and mentor in my early career at S&L. I have thought of him often, and spoke of him this morning to a colleage. Thank you, HK, for all your timely wisdom and advice over the years. God rest your soul.
