Irwin Feinstein Obituary
Irwin "Bud" Feinstein, Ph.D., age 100; beloved husband of the late Lena nee Zimmerman; loving father of Dr. Kate Feinstein (Richard Skolly) and Ronald (Patti) Feinstein; dear brother, uncle and friend of many. Proud veteran and Naval Officer during WWII. Dr. Feinstein was Professor Emeritus of Mathematics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was a supreme educator and recipient of numerous awards. Graveside service Wednesday, 10:30 AM at Waldheim Cemetery, Gate 42, Des Plaines Avenue and Roosevelt Road, Forest Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Am Yisrael Congregation, 4 Happ Road, Northfield, IL 60093. I took adult education classes from Dr. Feinstein. The class was composed to experienced mathematics teachers and he treated with warmth and respect. We were a community. Each week someone brought dinner and at the end of the class he treated us to a chinese dinner. I will always remember him.
