J. RYAN Obituary
J. Donald Ryan, 83, WWII Navy Veteran, of Libertyville, died Feb. 18, 2010, at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. He was the beloved husband of Dolores "Dee;" loving father of Michael (Catherine) Ryan, Tim (Kathleen) Ryan, Dan (Julie) Ryan, Mary (Bill) Bradley, Julie (Jeff) Roche, Don (Helen) Ryan, Shawna (Scott) Kolb and Kathy (Mark) Milliman; proud grandpa of 33; and dearest brother of Mary Jane Bremhorst, Larry (Gerry) Ryan and Darlene Walsh. He was CEO of T.H. Ryan Cartage Company, a hundred year old family trucking company of IL. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville. Interment Ascension Cemetery. Visitation Monday, Feb. 22, from 3 to 8 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 121 E. Maple Ave., Libertyville. If desired, memorials made to the Missionaries of the Sisters of Charity, 2325 W. 24th Pl., Chicago, IL 60608, would be greatly appreciated. Dee and kids, About 60 years ago I was a freshman at Loras College in Dubuque,Ia.Cousin Don was a big Junior out of the Navy on the football team.It was a soso game til Don caught a 50 yard pass over his shoulder. He was a loving and generous Step-Grandfather to William Patrick Bradley IV. He was a wonderful gentleman, and he will be missed dearly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children and all his grandchildren.
