James Felsenthal Obituary
James G. Felsenthal ("Fels" to his friends), 88 years old, beloved husband of Vicki Merlak, proud father of Jill (John) Levi, Linda (Ira) Hanan, Susan (Rich) Perlstein, Geoff (Carol) Felsenthal, Melissa Felsenthal, step-father of Kimberly (Rick) Negus and David (Lisa) Hoepner. Loving grandfather of Ben Levi (Millie Tadewaldt), Danny Levi, Sarah Levi, Brad (Natasha) Hanan, Emily Hanan, Michael Perlstein, Adam Perlstein, Charlie Felsenthal, Hannah Felsenthal, step-grandfather of Paige Lieberman and Sadie Negus and great-grandfather to Sam Hanan, died May 7, 2014 in Sun City, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Regina and Lester Felsenthal and his sister, Ruth Felsenthal Michaels. He is survived by his sister Joann Felsenthal Moses and by many nieces and their families, cousins and life-long friends from his hometown of Glencoe, IL and his summers at Camp Nebagamon. He was loved and will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 18th at Chicago Sinai Congregation, 15 W. Delaware Pl., Chicago, Il at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle St., Ste 1500, Chicago, IL 60604. Am I correct in that he was the Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 33 at Lincoln School in Highland Park (IL)? I was in that troop and remember him as a kind and caring gentleman. May his memory be a blessed one.

I am very sad to hear about Jim' passing. We had some great times playing golf, studying the game and having lunch at David Fong express. We had some laughs talking about the cars he "gave" me. I always enjoyed his company.
