I was so saddened to hear of Jim's death. We shared an office/lab while graduate students at MIT. Antoinette, I wonder if you remember us having dinner at your apartment sometime during those days? Since we both ended up in Chicago, Jim and I were in touch periodically. We were both happy to reconnect each time. My understanding is that he was well-respected and well-liked as the Chair of Physiology at Northwestern. The field of physiology has lost one of its stars. He will be missed.
