Jane Byrne, nee Guerra, 63, of Colorado Springs and formerly of the northwest Chicagoland area, beloved wife of Joe; mother of Joyce (Andy) Fuentes, Russell Gozzola and Nannette (the late SSG Ryan Eugene) Byrne-Haupt; grandmother of Kimberly
(Ruperto) Rodriguez, Nicholas Fuentes and Philip Fuentes; great-grandmother of two; dear daughter of the late Mary Olvera and Santino Guerra; sister of Carlos "Coz"
(Cindy) Olvera and Arthur "Art" (Debbie)
Olvera; niece of Rena Prosperra-Villarreal. She was active in many religious groups at Fort Carson, CO, home of the Army West and 4th Infantry Divisions; and an active community member. Visitation at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst, from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday. Prayers Saturday, June 21, 8:45 a.m. to St. Gertrude Church, 9613 Schiller Blvd., Franklin Park. Nannette and family,
I was in shock when Liz told me the news. I am so sorry for your loss. I met Jane once, but since I have known Nannette, she raised a wonderful, caring daughter. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I told my mom and her prayers and thoughts are with your family as well.

I am very sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories spending time at your home when I was growing up and will always hold those memories dear to my heart. Jane will be greatly missed, but I know that Jane and Aunt Mary are together right now watching over all of us.

I am truly sorry and my heart grieves for your loss. I could not imagine the pain of having a life such as hers taken so soon before her time. Sometimes a loss this great can only have a greater purpose. I know it doesn't seem like it right now, but the lord works in the most unusual of ways.

Joe, Nannette and Family,
We were very saddened to hear of the tragic way Jane was taken from you. She was a beautiful person with an enormous heart, always remembering others.
