Janet Biggs Obituary
Janet Kendzy Biggs, age 67, passed away on Oct. 22, 2007, with her family by her side, after a long courageous battle with breast cancer, beloved wife of the late Clayton Jr.; loving mother of Jonna (Eric) Brodersen and Jessica (Daniel) Bacoulis; cherished grandmother of Gavin, Dallas and Garrett Brodersen, Jack, Nicholas and Nathaniel Bacoulis; dear sister of Kenneth (Arlene) Kendzy; and aunt of many nieces and nephews. A second mother to many. Janet was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of Chicago and a troop leader to 100's. Funeral 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007 from Kolbus-John V. May Funeral Home, 6857 W. Higgins Ave., to Irving Park Lutheran Church for a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Service. Interment St. Luke Cemetery, Chicago. Visitation Friday 3 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Girl Scout Jr. Troop #279, 3938 W. Belle Plaine Ave., Chicago, IL 60618 would be greatly appreciated. Jan and I went all through grammar school and high school together. We recently got reacquainted when a planned 50th high school reunion reunited us - Kelvyn Park High School - Class of 1958. I am truly grateful that Jan and I were able to reconnect -- I wish we had more time. Jan was a great gal! She will be missed. I extend my sincere condolences to her wonderful family.

I got to know Jan at L.E.A.P. She was fun and caring, loving and sharing. She shared her wicked sense of humor with me and made me laugh for hours. I thought of her often last month at L.E.A.P. and sorely missed her. The Scouts in heaven will love her oatmeal! Rest well dear friend.
