Dear Sarah and the Gorecki Family,
Sarah, your mom and I became good friends on that wonderful day in China, November 18th, 2001 when you were placed in your moms loving arms and Jillian in mine.
Our bond grew as we shared two wonderful and uncertain weeks in China as new moms. Your Aunt Joanie kept us all laughing. Through the years your mom and I kept in touch by email. We saw you both at reunions and when you were in NY City. Your mom loved you so much and she will look after you from Heaven with your grandma until you are together again. You have a wonderful new family now and mom would be so proud of you.
Jan, I love and miss you and know that God has his reasons for taking you from us. Your home now with your mom . Sarah will be strong and will always love you.
Until we meet again my dear friend.
Love,
Bonnie, Ray and Jillian Cuzzolino

Hi,
I just read the friday paper today and was shocked to hear about Jan. I live a block from her father. I adopted from China as well and our hearts are broken. The last time we saw Jan and Sarah was at breakfast at Willowhill.
Maybe someone could e-mail us about the fund,etc...Sadly, Mrs.Bernie Wolf

Dear Sarah, You don't know me but I went to high school with your mom and ironically worked at IBM with her later on. We had a very long lunch one day to discuss her idea about adopting from China. She wanted to talk to me about it because, I too, had done it. As soon as we finished lunch, I knew she would make what I'm sure turned out to be the best decision of her life. And after meeting you in an Elmhurst park, shortly after you 'arrived', I would agree with her!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and many friends who love you. Sometime when you are over at your Aunt Mary's house in Elmhurst, I hope you will stop by.
Love,
Donna (and Madeline) Mueller

Dear Ed, Jack, Susan and Family, I am so very sorry to hear that Jan had passed. She is one of my oldest friends, and though we lived far apart, whenever we were together it felt like no time had passed at all. So happy I saw her in October. My mom will attend the wake for me. God bless her, I know her spirit will be with us always. Sandy (Grabos) Wheeler, Victoria, BC

My Sister of the Heart- how could two Chicago bred-second generation Catholic Polish American kids not bond?
We will miss you terribly, but God must have another purpose for you, one we do not understand.
You will always be in our hearts.
To, Sarah, Dad, Jack and family, Aunt Joan and Liz we send our love and our heartfelt sympathy.
