I just heard the news about Jeff. I am shocked and saddened. I worked with Jeff at William Blair, and found him to be very creative and energetic. More importantly, he was a good person with excellent values and a keen sense humor that brightened all those who knew him. My deepest sympathies.

To The Darby Family,
I was Jeff's assistant at William Blair. I loved working for him. He was an amazing person. Jeff was intelligent, kind and funny. Always willing to go out of his way to help others. His untimely passing is extremely unfortunate. He will be missed immensely. My deepest sympathy to the Darby family and to everyone who knew Jeff.

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Darby, I am shocked to hear about Jeff's passing. I remember Jeff from when we took piano lessons together with Mrs. Zechel. Jeff was a brilliant and talented son. I want you to know we will all keep you in our prayers.

I offer my deepest sympathy to Jeff's family. I just learned of his passing through a former coworker. I had the pleasure of working with Jeff for a few years at William Blair. He used to visit my department and tell us funny stories. I remember him as a kind and intelligent gentleman.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Peace be with you.

I worked with Jeff briefly on a project last summer at GCD. I helped him type and edit a few documents. I am a secretary and Jeff treated me with as much respect as if I were an attorney. He was a client that I truly enjoyed working with. I will miss his smile and friendly demeanor. My deepest sympathy to the Darby family.

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Darby:
I wanted to express my deepest sympathies on the passing of your son Jeff. Jeff possessed a truly international spirit and was willing to help anybody that did not understand the way things are done in the US. I still remember the wonderful night at the Lyric Opera (Wagner) and the countless events at the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations. He will be truly missed.

Condolences on your loss. My wife and were deeply saddened by his too-early passing. He was a true Gentleman: thoughtful and selfless, extremely well-read, patient and resourceful, with a marvelous sense of humor, and above all a most kind-hearted soul.
