Even though I don't know Mr Healy personally but I came to know of him through his daughter Lucia Healy and I also took part in his memory prayer held at our centre in Atlanta.
He was a loving and dutiful father and a wonderful human being. I offer my heartfelt prayers for him and family members left behind.

Maria, Lucia and family: Jerry had been on my mind lately -- then I saw the obit. Truly, the end of an era! My husband and Jerry were friends since 1965 when we first came to Chicago from N.Y. I remember Helen fondly, as she was my first friend in Chicago, before she married Jerry. Peter was at National Security Bank and Helen was the president's secretary. Pete has been gone now for 10 yrs. Last time I saw Jerry was at Peter's wake. He and Jerry took a vacation in the carribean together onetime -- and you can imagine the stories! I recall one time we were at the Pump Room and we stopped in the Hunt Room for a cocktail and Jerry took over the piano -- (up until that time, we didn't even know he could play!!) -- and he got great applause from the people in the cocktail lounge!! He was that good! We were invited to several lovely affairs at Ft. Sheridan with Michael and Jackie -- too many occasions and stories and laughs to put here! He will be missed. Hope he and Pete are having a drink and sitting around telling lies, LOL, wherever they are and that we will all meet again someday!

to the Family of Jerry, You have my deepest sympathy on the loss of your love one. He was one of the kindness person I had the pleasure of knowing. I met him several years ago at the Bohemian Crystal in Westmont. He will be missed for his smiling face and his stories on his life experiences. I'm sure he's in heaven along with Cardinal George. May he rest in peace

Maria and Lucia, I was so sad to hear about the passing of your dad. He is such a wonderful memory to all of our family. When he walked in our house the energy level would rise through the roof. He always came with a crazy story and a lot of laughter. Not sure any of the stories were true but they were entertaining. He was one of a kind from an era that we were lucky to witness. Rest in peace Mr Healy and keep them laughing in heaven!!

I will miss seeing Jerry at Bohemian Crystal restaurant. He always had a kind word to say and always had a smile on his face. It was a pleasure knowing him.
