I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Joan's passing. We were college roommates for 2 years. Joan was smart, fun, and a great friend.

Joan was a fixture at JMB for 36 years and I had the privilege to work with her for 14 of them. Joan was a true professional, which she balanced with her own unique style. Everyone could always count on Joan and no doubt she will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Joanie tells her friends "I met a new girl. She might have POTENTIAL". I love you with all my heart. You will always have a spot in it.

Joan had a laugh that made me smile! She was beautiful inside and out. I worked with Joan in my first "real" job in Chicago and she made me feel welcome as a newcomer to the company and to the city.
