John N. Bowman, Jr. died peacefully, with his loving wife by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on January 3, 1953 in Gary, Indiana to Margaret (Jones) and John Bowman. He attended Wirt High School and Purdue University. John married Lucy Ann, nee Bowsher on March 4, 1988. He enjoyed sailing and sports. John leaves his wife Lucy; sisters Lezlie (Terrance) DeGan, Kathleen Chavez; and brother Robert; nieces and nephews Olivia, Haley, Tyler, Sean, Meghan, Dylan and Christian; sister-in-law Wendy (Walt) Brimley; and many friends. His parents and brother-in-law, Eugene Carlos Chavez preceded him in death. The family wishes to thank the many compassionate caregivers, friends and family for their support, love, and prayers during John's illness. Donations made to The American Cancer Society appreciated.
