John H. Gobel, age 82, of Shaker Hts., OH, formerly of Chicago, entered into eternal life Oct. 21, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Carol, nee Zvara; and the adored father of Kristina
Gobel (Stephen Burgun) and
Gregory Gobel. He was the dear brother-in-law of Judith Zvara (Richard Sweet); fond uncle of Kathryn and David Sweet; loving son of the late Henry and Mary Gobel; cherished like a brother by his cousins and, also, survived by many relatives and friends. Memorial gifts may be made in his name to DePaul University College of Law and/or the
DePaul University General Scholarship Fund, c/o DePaul University, 1 E. Our deepest condolences to the Gobel family. We knew John at the Chicago Catholic University Club in the 1950's. He was very active in club activities and it was a great pleasure to associate with him. May he rest in peace.
