We first met in grammar school, St. Philip Neri. Lots of memories through the years. One that stands out is a summer boat trip down the Illinois River to Starve Rock State Park. Rest well, friend.

I remember meeting John when we were sophomores at Notre Dame. He was a great guy and obviously an extremely generous and successful businessman.
May he live on in your hearts and in how you honor him in your business and personal lives.

On behalf of Loyola Academy's Class of 1958, we extend our deepest sympathy to Barbara and her sons. Our thoughts and prayers for God's grace are with the Keeleys. We will always be grateful to have had John as a classmate and will remember him as a good and loyal friend. While studying English at the Academy, John was an athlete who was on the Ramblers football team for three years and who ran track in his Freshman year. As a Senior he decided to join the Drama Club, perhaps thinking with his good looks he would give Hollywood a try along with Tom Waldron. Always a popular leader, his peers honored him as President of their 4F Senior Class. May he Rest In Peace

Rest well, John, and to your family and my cousin Barbara, so many memories, going back to grammar school. You're leaving so much behind you. And I'll always remember two boys digging a ditch in that vacant lot next to your apartment house, at 7116 Coles, where we could build a fort and get away from everything in the dark reaches of a Chicago afternoon.
