Very sad to hear this. John was a lovely neighbor and friend for some many years when we lived on Claremont. I loved seeing Alex grow up...

I first met John when he was a student in a program at Illinois Institute of Technology where I taught. Later, we sailed together. More recently when I could only sail in the Goldman sailing program for those whose physical abilities were not conducive to sailing, he was volunteer. He made a difference in many lives. He was liked by and kind to all, a respected engineer. I feel a great loss and offer my condolence.
