John Roger May

Roger May (born John Roger May) passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2022. A Chicago resident his entire life, Roger married his late wife, Wilma (nee Groenner) in 1966 and is survived by his loving daughter, Renee May, and his grandchildren Christopher Bottari (Alexandra Radulovic) and Tessa Cox (Mark Cox) and great-granddaughter, Isabella Cox. Roger was a 1951 graduate of Leo High School and served in the US Navy on the USS Hank DD702, after which he attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and became a member of SAG-AFTRA. Later in life he performed in stage adaptations of classic radio hits with the SAG-AFTRA Senior Radio Players. Roger pursued his life with a free spirit and quick wit and was never afraid to speak his mind. He will be remembered by his family and loved ones for his extensive knowledge and amazing sense of humor.
