Rev. John Thomas Render, C.P., age 83, formerly from Immaculate Conception Monastery, Chicago, died March 19, 2008 at Nazareth Home in Louisville, KY. He was a member of the Congregation of the Passion (Passionists) for 63 years, a priest for 57 years. He is survived by the Passionist Community; his nephews, Phil Jordan and Paul Jordan; nieces, Mary
Elizabeth Hardy and Kathleen Itschner; and several cousins. Father Render taught in the Passionist Seminary, was an itinerant missionary, novice master and director of the Passionist Research Center. Wake Sunday 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Monastery, 5700 N. Harlem Avenue. Wake Service at 7 p.m. Memorial Mass Monday, April 7 at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 7211 W. Talcott Avenue, Chicago. Interment Passionist Monastery Cemetery.
