Joyce, Vern, Heidi, Sharon and John: Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. The loss of Uncle John will certainly leave a void for each of you and your children. Keep a tee in your pocket for times of solace as a reminder of the joy that Uncle John brought to many, and if you need more, throw in a golf ball! May you also pass those thoughts on to the next generation so he will not be forgotten. Most of my recollection of Uncle John was during my youth at family get togethers and through my parents. As I told Hiedi the other day it was always good recollection! May you all raise your Irish glasses and toast in honor of Uncle John, his back nine have led him to a perfect peace!

John was a wonderful man; he will be missed. We have many fond memories of him and Tony Hanrahan. These good friends have now been reunited. Our loss is their gain. May John's family find peace and comfort in their remembrances of him and his well-lived life.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.
