John Svatik Jr., age 96, of Elkhorn, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn. He was born Nov. 6, 1910 in Chicago, IL, to John and Elizabeth, nee Placko, Svatik Sr. He spent his early life and received his education in Chicago, IL. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Svatik of Elkhorn, son, Paul (Cheryl) Svatik of Sylvania, OH, daughter, Mildred Timm of Menomonie, WI and by granddaughters, Christina (Michael) Mitchell of Perrysburg, OH and Patricia (Aaron) Rymanowicz of Toledo, OH. He is further survived by a great-grandson, Logan Rymanowicz. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Martin and Steven, one sister, Elizabeth, and a son-in-law, Barry Timm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Burlington Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
