Beloved son of John J. and Therese M., nee Manahan, Styx; loving brother of Joseph (Jami) Styx of Round Lake, Joshua (Rianna) Styx of Libertyville, Jonathan (Brienna) Styx of Fox Lake, James Styx of Ingleside and Jessica Styx of Ingleside; uncle to Jack and Isabel; cherished grandson of Chuck and Rosemary Manahan of Wauconda and the late Joseph D. and Jean Styx of Beach Park; great-grandson of Catherine and the late Joseph Styx of Lombard; loving boyfriend of Traci Bennett of Lombard; nephew, cousin and friend to many. Resting at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 N. Rosedale Court, Round Lake, IL, 60073. Visitation 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2007. Funeral Service 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2007 at The Chapel, 25270 W. Hwy. 60, Grayslake, with visitation from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Interment will be private. Dear John, Therese and family,
What a truly amazing family you have. The love, support, strength and friendship you all share is incredible.
Jordan was part of our Mobile Music family for 8 years. As Carey mentioned in his eulogy, our daughters friends would come to our dance rehearsals just to watch Jordan. Jordan new that and thought it was so cute.
Jordan was not about drama. He came to work, gave it 150% and loved what he did. Everyone was in awe just watching Jordan tear up the dance floor.
The time we spent with him at ISU allowed me to see a different, more serious side of Jordan. I was very proud of what he accomplished at school.
Jordan and I especially bonded on our trip to DesMoines. We had a blast together and laughed about it for many years.
He touched my heart and I will greatly miss him!

I did not know Jordan. My sister Kelli did. However, when I heard about what happened, I thought of him and your family for days. The thoughts were so overwhelming that it felt as if I had known him. Dearest John & Therese, I am deeply saddend by the loss of Jordan. I recall vividly the time we spent at the property in WI a good long while ago. He was always a lively sort; good naturedly picking on Jenni,Kate & Niki and wathching them give it right back. The smile, the laughter all but a memory now. I am so sorry I wont be able to attend the services and to be there to comfort you in this time of need. My heart reaches out to you and your famiily. It remids me how fleeting time can be and to make each and every moment count.

The Styx Family,
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of such an inspiring man, friend, son, brother. Your son lit every room he entered and made everyone feel special no matter what their differences were. When I moved to Illinois and went to grant, your son's smiling face was one of the first i saw, and his smile was open and inviting and he befriended me. Its hard to sit here and say all I can about Jordan because there is so much to say. I am very sorry for you loss. But know, in life and in death your son is a good man and was and will be loved for all eternity. God Bless.

Dearest Styx family,
We were deeply saddened to hear the news about the sudden death of Jordan. There are not enough words to say, or the right ones to express; our deepest sympathy for your great loss.
Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Although, we didn’t know Jordan as a young man, we do however remember him fondly at your weekly bible studies in Round Lake Beach. It’s very evident Jordan grew into the godly man that both John and Theresa raised him to be. Not only will he be missed by family and friends but also by the world, whom; will never be able to meet such a fine young man. For one who has lived such a short life Jordan’s accomplishments were many and his influence great.
We know you will miss Jordan greatly. It’s difficult to miss something you never had, but it’s a greater loss to never have had what you miss. We know Jordan was taken too soon and taken too young, but “think of” what an impact Jordan had on the world around him.
You are fortunate to have so many who loved Jordan and who care about you and are thinking of you in this difficult time of sorrow. We know you will draw upon God’s strength, your own strength and the strength of loved ones that hold you in their thoughts.
