To the Gaffud Family: We just found out that Jing (as we fondly called him) has passed. We are so sorry for your loss and our prayers go with you.
I feel like I lost a brother even when we have lost contact with each other. He and his brother, Jong, were my group mates (Fulgencio, Gaffud, Gaffud) in med school, from Anatomy on to our clinical years. The twins were my big brothers and protectors.
I talked to him last around 1992 when our son was in school at Northwestern but we didn't have a chance to see each other. How I regret that now.
May the Lord grant him eternal rest and peace.

To Kay, Brian, Michael and Kristen, many prayers and love for all of you during this difficult time. What a wonderful husband and dad, we are sure he is very proud of his family. He will be remembered as one of the happiest and gentle people and will be missed by many. God Bless

We had the pleasure and luck of knowing and working with Jorge Gaffud many years ago at Little Company of Mary where he trained as a surgeon. He was a fine man, had a great sense of humor, and was a great surgeon. Our condolences to his family.

To our friends, Kay, Michael, Brain and Kristen, our love and prayers are with you on this journey of letting go of your husband and Dad. We thank God for the awesome memories of our very loving and generous friend. The great times,the laughter, organizing the cooperation, the memories if being together at Notre Dame, above all the smiles, the tears, and just a peaceful feeling shared by all just four weeks ago - truly a gift to remember.
