Proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII in the 526 Infantry. Beloved husband of 71 years to Mary (nee Campbell). Loving father of Joy (Rick) Van Horne & Joey DeFilippis. Cherished grandfather of Chrissy (David), late Michael, Nicholas & Anelisse. Adoring great grandfather of Keira & Collin. His prankish ways will always be a fond memory for all of his nieces & nephews. Visitation Friday, March 3rd from 9 a.m. until time of prayers 11 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights proceeding to Saint Alexander Church, Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Vito, will always remember the Gin Rummy games and the sly smile on your face as you played that final card. We will remember the stories of pre war II and of course the early days of the dairy route. How can we ever forget at age 92 those moves on the dance floor. Knowing you brought much joy and laughter.

Vito, how we will miss that Gin Rummy game and that sly look when you laid down that winning hand. We will forever remember that smile and the stories as to the richness of your life .You were a man at the age of 92 who still was a able to cut a rug on the dance floor. A man that forever spoke his peace and who left us with much joy and laughter.
