Joseph F. Faems

Joseph F. Faems, 90, of Northbrook, IL. Passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. He was born February 10, 1915, in Chicago, IL., the son of Frank A. and Constance Jenner Faems. He married Sara Parmer September 15, 1945 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Chicago, IL. She survives. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received his Masters Degree from the Harvard Business School. He was President of Accent International, and served as the Director of Long Range Planning for International Mineral and Chemical Corp, retiring in 1980. He is survived by his wife Sara Faems; three sons, Michael (Nancy) Faems of Glenview, IL, Donald (Debbie) Faems of Arlington Heights, IL; and Lawrence (Holly) Faems of Montgomery, AL, three daughters Beatrice (Robert) Poteracki of Arlington Heights, IL, Ellen (Rich) Levin of Madison, CT and Mary Faems of Chicago, IL; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survived him. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Helen Findorff and Yvonne Fisella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 9, 2006, 12:30 p.m., at the St. John's Catholic Church in Enochsburg, IN, with Reverend Stephen Akange officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's Cemetery Enocsburg where military graveside rites will be performed by the American Legion and and VFW of Greensburg.
