Joyce L. Lowry

Joyce L. Lowry, nee Rodgers, 81, of Glenwood, passed away, surrounded by her family, Dec. 29, 2011. She is survived by her children: Tom (Laurie) Lowry of Long Grove, Craig (Leslie) Lowry of Homewood, Nena (Brick) Mason of Dillon, CO, Robert (Connie) Lowry of Scottsdale, AZ and Patty (Jeff) Crofoot of New Lenox; grandchildren: Craig, Kristin, Kate, Carolyn and Kelly Lowry, Becca Crofoot, Karen Lowry, and Ben and Maggie Crofoot. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Lowry in 1996; parents Archie and Marge Rodgers, and sister, Beverly (Larry) Griffin. Joyce was a former secretary at Flossmoor Community Church. Born in Chicago, she grew up attending the Drexel Park Presbyterian Church, and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago Hts. for the last 50 years, belonging to the Presbyterian Women's Assoc. Visitation will be held on Tues., Jan. 3, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Chicago Hts., 900 Thomas Street. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Presbyterian Cemetery in Chicago Hts. Memorials may be directed to the Jones Center, 220 E. 15th St., Chicago Hts., IL 60411.
