Judith Behrens Obituary

Judith Frances Behrens (Kohlstedt) a long time resident of Bellwood IL, died Jan 13 after a long fight with Alzheimer's disease. Born in Chicago on Dec. 20, 1940. Judy married Wayne Behrens in March of 1962 and was devoted to her 4 children: Deborah (Greg) Kurcab, James (Jane), Pamela (Joe) Madrid, and Jeffrey (Laura). She was the very proud grandmother of 9: Jesica, Alison, Joseph, Jaclyn, Nikki, Michael, Nikolas, Madelyn, and Tyler. When Judy wasn't loving and laughing with her family and pets, she could be found haggling a great deal at the flea market or just basking in the sunshine. A memorial service will be held at StAlexanders Church in Villa Park on Feb. 25 at 9am followed by mass and burial at Mt.Emblem Cemetary. Donations in Judy's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Alzheimer's Disease Research.
