Kermitt Mowbray

MOWBRAY , KERMITT R. Kermitt R. Mowbray, 99, of Naperville, IL formerly of Elmhurst and Lombard, IL, and Sarasota, FL, died Monday, March 9, 2009, at his home. He was born Dec. 10, 1909, in Wales, ND. Kermitt is survived by two children, Kenneth (Eleanor) Mowbray and Jean (Vern) Schulze; four grandchildren, Dr. Thomas (Kate) Mowbray, John (Janice) Mowbray, Elizabeth (Mark) Milz and Susan (Richard) Grask; five great-grandchildren, Alex and Kyle; Morgan, Spencer and Annie; several nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Anna Mae, nee Britton, Mowbray, whom he married in 1931 and who died in 1987. Also by his second wife, Mabel Mowbray and his parents, John and Daney, nee Horn, Mowbray. Throughout the years, Kermitt worked for Ovaltine Corp., Villa Park, IL, Helene Curtis Co., Chicago, IL, Standard Kollsman Co., Melrose Park, IL, and retired with Standard Grigsby, Aurora, IL. Visitation Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m., at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Family and friends will meet Friday, 10 a.m., at the funeral home and travel in procession to Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, for an 11 a.m. graveside service.
