Kevin J. Falkner

1960 - 2022

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Kevin J. Falkner, 62, of Oak Lawn, IL. He passed away suddenly, at his residence, on February 23, 2022. Kevin was born on February 19, 1960, in Evergreen Park, IL. He is proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Patrizi, and beloved father, Louis (Patsy) Falkner. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Daniel) Falkner, sister, Brigid (Gary) Schultz, nieces, Lauren (Nick) Pesa, Shannon Patrizi (John), and Shannon's son, his beloved nephew, Joshua. Kevin spent his entire career in the trucking industry, racking up millions of miles driving across the country, never receiving a citation, and earning numerous awards. Kevin recently retired and was thoroughly enjoying his new laid-back lifestyle. He was reconnecting with his inner-child - operating his drone over the neighborhood, riding his trail bike in the forest preserve, and teaching Josh how to maneuver his remote-control cars, encouraging him all the while to go faster, jump the ramps, and avoid crashing. Kevin also enjoyed his time with his three cats (Laverne, Shirley, and Sam), grilling steaks on his patio, and meticulously polishing his pick-up truck – all activities enjoyed with a cold Old Style. Kevin was known for his contagious smile, mischievous spirit, and quirky personality. If you were lucky enough to hang with Kevin, you knew you were in for an evening of funny stories, crazy pronouncements, and just overall fun. His memory will forever live on in our hearts. Respecting his last wishes, no services will be held. To honor him, we ask that the next time you have a cold drink in hand, raise a toast in his honor.
