Kevin James Kelly, 51, of Chicago, IL peacefully passed away June 25th, 2023 with his family by his side. Kevin, beloved eldest child of six, was predeceased by his father, Jimmy and brother, Jimmy. He is survived by his mother, Patricia and siblings Brian (Nicole), Sean, Eamon, and Mary Ann (Chuck); Dear uncle of Shannon and Brody Kelly; adored uncle and godfather of Cillian Stewart; treasured nephew and cousin to many. Kevin received his undergraduate degree from DePaul University and later went on to study Law at Marquette University. He spent many years as a home builder as he studied, joining the insurance industry thereafter, where he built a strong career and friendships and was a mentor to many. Kevin loved reading, traveling, hiking, history and basketball. Although his largest love was being present for his family and friends. He will forever be missed and fondly remembered. Visitation Saturday, July 8th from 8:30 am until time of funeral, 10:45 am at The Oaks Funeral Home 1201 E. Irving park Road (at Prospect), Itasca, IL Mass 11:00 am at St Julian Eymard Catholic Church in Elk Grove Village. Burial at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. Kevin, was home in lreland earlier this year, with a lot of fun and laughs, with sister,maryAnn and brother in law,Chuck, and his mother, Patricia, we enjoyed, cooking, watching the lrish Gaelic football, playing with our dog, Claude, we have wonderful memories of that, he was enjoying be home, and Travelling and visiting, all the Family, from Galway to Mayo and Kerry, we will Always remember Kevin, he was a beautiful soul, RIP, Kevin.
