Laura A. Carolan

1979 - 2022

Our hearts are broken to announce the passing of Laura A. Carolan on Friday, September 16, 2022. Laura graced this earth for 43 years. She was the beloved wife of Patrick. Loving mother of Michael. Cherished daughter of Christine and the late Joseph Malek. Wonderful sister of Joseph (Melinda) Malek. Adored daughter-in-law of Terry and Ann Carolan. Dear sister-in-law of Mary Beth (Jason) Canty and Cecilia Carolan. Much loved aunt to Emily and Jospeh Jr. Malek, Elizabeth Carolan and Octavia and Josie Canty. She will be dearly missed by her aunt Maria Moskalik and her cousin Ada (Moskalik) Valaveris. A graduate of the University of Illinois Chicago and licensed C.P.A., Laura had a tremendous sense of justice, that she applied to her profession as a forensic accountant. As the Director of Accounting at Grant and Thornton LLP, Laura was a dedicated team member from 2002 until 2016. A much loved and courageous woman of great intelligence, integrity and grace, Laura will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Visitation is Friday at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th street just west of Harlem) from 4 PM to 9 PM. Visitation on Saturday from 8:30 AM until time of prayers at 9:15 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Mary's Church, 126 Herrick Rd, Riverside, IL for a 10AM mass. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
