Lawrence Rittmueller

Lawrence "Larry" Rittmueller Born August 28, 1945 passed away peacefully on November 2, 2022 following a steady decline from an inherited neurological disease. Larry was the first born child of Walter Rittmueller and Dorothy (Eatinger). He leaves 4 siblings; Barbara (Fritz) Marilyn (Ponka) Joel Rittmueller and Carol (Olson) and their spouses as well as 10 nieces and nephews as well as 6 aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by both parents (Chicago) in 2007.

Larry had both undergraduate and graduate degrees in education With a Masters Degree from Concordia River Forest IL in Earth Science. Larry worked as a principal in a LCMS school and then taught Science in the public school system at the Jr High level. He spent most of his adult life in Louisiana, where he became an avid fan of LSU sports and also cherished MI teams. Once he was unable to be self-sufficient, he returned to Illinois and lived with his sister and family before moving to assisted living.

Being a man with a life-long deep and abiding faith, loving Jesus with all his heart, his passing is seen as a blessing for his future is secure.

Larry supported Lutheran World Relief organization and would ask in lieu of other gifts, donations be made to them. Their website allows for a donation "in memory of" Larry.

There will be a visitation for Larry on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 10:00 AM and concluding with a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home and followed by burial at Acacia Park Cemetery.
