Madeline Haydon Obituary


Madeline E. Haydon, 98, of Haiku, Maui, and formerly Chicago, Illinois, passed peacefully June 13, 2008 at her residence. Madeline's remains will be


interred at Oak Woods Cemetery in Chicago, Il.


Respecting her wishes that no formal services be held, the family


requests that any donations be made to the The Art Institute of Chicago, in her memory. Born Madeline Ella Boone on Oct. 30, 1909 in Bloomington, Illinois, she was an artist, world traveler and retired employee of the City of Chicago. Madeline was preceded in death by husband


Thomas Haydon, and son John "Chico" Boone of Haiku, Maui. She is survived by her daughter in-law Christina Garzero of Haiku, Hi.; grandsons Haydon Boone of Sammamish, Wa., Adrian Boone of Hilo, Hi., Damien Boone of Haiku, Hi., granddaughters Chana Boone, Nara Boone, and Daria Boone of Haiku, Hi, Rana Boone of Houston, Tx., April Boone and Natasha Boone of Los Angeles, Ca.; and eight great-grandchildren.

I am Gracian Vital of the Chicago Building Department and I have tried to stay in contact with Madeline while working with her and after her retirement. I do miss her. Thanks for letting me know. She was a great inspiration to me.
