How well I remember bouncing into the house on Ridge saying "Hi Mrs. K". She would help Susie and me gather blankets to sit outside in line at Wrigley Field or we'd chat and she would listen with rapt attention to my bantering. She was another mom to me and one of the kindest people I've ever known.
My heart goes out to all of you. Just know that she is looking down proudly on her legacy.

I am saddened to realize that I missed this deeply important remembrance. I should have had the presence of mind to look up the times and dates, instead of waiting for an email from a grieving family.
To the entire Kardaras family. Margaret was a sweet, wonderful person, who always welcomed me into her home as family. From her gentle manner, to her inviting me to sit at her Easter dinner when I was alone, to her scolding me for eating too much after coming from the doctor's office, I cannot think of anyone more worthy to join God in the kingdom of Heaven. With all the love and sympathy we can muster. Ben, Elaine, Justin, and Kyle Verson

Southern California was always treated to a special soul when Aunt Peggy would visit. We will miss those visits, but know that she is with Uncle Ollie and her brothers and sisters in Heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Kardaras family. Bob & Barb Urhausen

Mrs. Kardaras was the most saintly person that I have ever known. Not a bad bone in her body and never a mean word about anybody. Her gentle soul will go on forever. I'm glad I knew her and will forever treasure her in my memories.

To all of the Kardaras family: Aunt Peggy was a sweet and kind soul who raised a close-knit and loving family. Heaven just got more fun - the Brown's & the Urhausen's are together again. With love,

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Margaret's family. Margaret will forever live on in our memories. (From being tied to a rope to see firsthand the creek - to walking in the woods in Montana.) Farewell my dear friend. You will be truly missed. Love you!

Your mom was a sweet and gentle soul. She had a sweetheart bow for a smile, and she used it often! God bless her. She raised a beautiful family; may your memories bring you comfort.

All my love goes out to Aunt Peggy's Family. She was an important part of my life. When she would visit us in Reno she would share her stories of the city and we in turn would share our stories of the desert. I would wake before anyone except Aunt Peggy. I couldn't wait to take her on ..."Chad's Big Adventure". Walking in the canyon we would look for beautiful rocks, arrowheads, lizards, hawks and always a jack rabbit. And then the surprise tour of the "Hobos Dens". The serenity of the view was heavenly. I will always cherish those hours with her. She was a special sister for my Mom, June and a wonderful Aunt. I will miss her always. Love Chad and Chris Quiggle

I am so sorry, and share your sadness in the loss of my Aunt Peggy. I will always remember the summer visits here in Nevada, with Aunt Peggy taking walks in the hills enjoying the nature, finding old bottles, and always intellectually explaining the ways, and reasons of things. My memories of those days are special as are the ones of all my mothe'rs (June) sisters and brothers are. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Guy, Mary, Skye, and Sage Quiggle.
