Maria Papagiannopoulos, nee Javaras, age 95, Native of Simiades Greece, longtime resident of Elmhurst; beloved wife of the late Peter; loving mother of Soteria, Steven, MD (Aspasia) and George Papagiannopoulos; proud grandmother of Peter, MD, Dimitri, MD, Tasso, MD (Angelica) and Bill, MD Papagiannopoulos; dear aunt of Ted, Sam and Connie Tourloukis. Visitation Monday, 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Trisagion service at 5:30 p.m., at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (½ mile North of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Friends and family will meet for a Funeral Service , Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 South Central Avenue, Chicago IL 60644 Interment Elmwood Cemetery, River Grove.
