Dear Jill and Family,
I am a friend of Mark's from grammar school and high school. We had many fun times growing up in OL. My heart was truly saddened when Craig told me of Mark's homegoing. May you find comfort in knowing he is at home, in Jesus' presence! Please know you are all being lifted up in prayer during this difficult season. I pray the Lord gives you strength and a special peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mark, just from what I knew of him stopping in Starbucks a few times a day, was such a proud dad and husband. He used to come into Starbucks and tell me about his kids, and ask about mine. I'm so sorry.

Dear Jill,
I knew Mark as a young man being best friends with Amber. We shared many happy times and a ton of laughs. He was as wonderful a person then as he grew to be for you and your family. He will be sorely missed. *HUGS* to you and your beautiful children.

Dear Jill and family,
It's hard to know what to say in times like these. I can only say as a personal and long time friend of Mark's that he was just that - a good friend. He was always there for me if I needed him. I also know that you and the kids made his world shine. He loved you all very much and was never ashamed to say it.
It was a great day when he first told me he gave his life to the Lord and he has never stopped talking about Him since. I pray that the Lord now comforts you and your loved ones while you grieve.
May He grant you peace, serenity and guidance through this difficult time. Our prayers and love go out to you.

My heart breaks for you and your family Jill. I have never known a more solid family man than Mark. I am so glad that I know what beautiful family that you have around you in this time of need, your mother and your sisters & the kids. One thing is sure, Mark Decker will go straight to heaven! Words can not express how sorry I am for you and the kids. I will never forget the beautiful letter Mark sent me after my wedding. He was truly special.

Dear Jill & Children, Greg & I watched Mark grow up with his buddies Craig & Terry, as we are Craig's immediate neighbors. He was a polite, respectful, friendly little guy & on to becoming a nice young man. When Ms. Lanigan told us he was in the carpet business many years ago, We jumped to be his customer. And recommened his name to our grown children & many of our friends. He took great pride in the work he did for anyone. He was so very proud of his "beautiful wife & his 3 beautiful children". And he made no bones about always being Thankful to Our Lord for every day & all he was Blessed with. Greg & I will miss his eager voice for carpet cleaning, his Christian thoughts, seeing his white van with blue lettering all around Oak Lawn & most of all his warm smile. When looking at the stars at night we are comforted to know his is shinning down on his family & us. We are at peace to know there is a purpose on this earth & that the Lord must have felt he had foefilled his. In Gods Peace, Forever, The Greiman Family
