Many years ago, my sisters and I shared some memorable times with Mark, whom we once called our uncle. He left an impression on me, which is why I am here now, so many years later. Offering my most sincere sympathies to all those who loved him.

So sorry, Susan and children. Mark was a wonderful trial partner in the court room and an excellent friend. I have many wonderful memories of driving to weekend camp outs with our daughters and sharing the experiences.

I am so sorry to learn of Mark´s passing. Mark was a unique combination of strength and kindness. He brought me into GC&D and was a terrific model of a smart, hard-working, ethical lawyer. I am sorry for your loss, Susan.

So sorry to hear about Mark's passing. I knew him as a very active employment lawyer, who was generous with his time. (I also was an employment lawyer so our paths crossed at Chicago Bar Association meetings and other times.) My sympathies to his family and friends.

Susan and Family: I had the pleasure of working with Mark for years at Gardner Carton and Mark and I shared a secretary and he took me - the new guy under his wing. Mark was a great guy and a fine attorney. His intensity was unmatched and he had a heart of gold, I regret a court date will keep me from attending the funeral mass. My sincerest condolences. The world was definitely a better place because of Mark

Susan my heart goes out to you, the children and the rest of Mark's family. We have lost a giant of a person. Mark was someone who treated everyone with respect and trusted that those he encountered had something unique to offer. He was always willing to discover what that something was and offer assistance in realizing the potential. I fondly remember his gentle guidance to me as a young summer associate at Gardner, Carton and Douglas.

Over the years as our paths crossed on more personal levels, I was impressed by his love of family, especially you Susan, and his zeal for life. I pray that his memory will be a blessing for you to help get through the giant void this giant of a man has left.

Sending a virtual hug,

Cecilia
