Mark Nick Gentile, 60, of Elgin, beloved husband of Nancy, nee Soens; cherished son of the late Nick and Jean, nee Stapinski, Gentile; dear brother of Gerri Lascola; brother-in-law of Margie (Dennis) Colborn; son-in-law of the late James and Phyllis Soens. Retired from Naperville Excavating after 42 years. Funeral services 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 30, Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St. (Rt. 31), Elgin. Visitation Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:30 a.m. until services. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Proevena Franciscan Sister Heritage Foundation, 77 N.
