My deepest sympathy to all of Marlene's family. She and I met about 15 years ago, and became friends. We shared many good times together, even if I was quite a bit older. We had a lot in common, and I found her thoughtful, fun, and a truly wonderful person. She was at my 90th birthday party 5 years ago, and on March 12th I turned 95. If Marlene had been well, she would have been at the party given for me. I did get to talk to her once, after not getting any response to my emails or phone calls. I wish someone had notified me that dear Marlene passed away one day earlier, on March 11. I certainly would have been at her funeral. I will miss her, and will never forget her.

The world definitely has less joy without Marlene in it. She was one of the more incredible ladies I've been lucky enough to know. Her upbeat, positive attitude was contagious and always brought a smile to all that knew her. She had an amazing gift of finding the humor in life and always concentrating on the positive. She was a wonderful friend and so much more. My life was truly enriched by her friendship and the joy that she brought me will remain in my heart forever. As much as I will miss her I'm sure that Pinky is once again complete. Until we meet again, my dear, dear friend I will cherish your memory.

I am so sorry to hear that she passed away. She always seemed to be in a good mood, and was friendly to us neighborhood kids- not all adults were. She raised good kids, now adults. She will be missed!

Marlene was a fantastic, vibrant lady with a wonderful bubbly personality and who had a very deep love of her family.
I am so very sorry to hear of her passing and my love and thoughts are with all the family at this very sad time.
