Mary Binsfeld was my oldest friend at St. Ignatius Parish in Chicago, from 1979. How deeply I miss her! She being the director of the Special Ed department for most of her career, always reminded me of my very first assignment with the CPS which was to teach a class of 15 boys, all 15 years old, at my school. What an introduction to my new profession! Exquisite! the boys so precious! Never again would I have a class like them to teach! I still remember the 1st and last names of about 8 of them. Mary and Jim were the most faithful Eucharistic ministers at ou church. When I was the #1 fund raiser at our parish, we had some splendiferous and fun parties. Mary was the first to invite me to join her family at a famous Sunday morning brunch which she had won at the auction party, always thinking of me! Even though I am 60-some percent English and 33 percent Swedish, and zero Irish, i nevertheless visited Ireland three times and loved it. Thanks, Mary, thanks and pray for me way high up there in your celestial home!! Carol Zehren. St. Ignatius Parish
