Mathew will be remembered as the person who galvanized the Indian community in Illinois into political action. He based his efforts on the poltics of grass roots struggle of the common man, not on the politics of money power. For that alone, in a nation blighted by the money-politics nexus of corruption, we are in his debt.
Mathew, continue the battle from the other side.

I and Vijay remember Mathew with great sadness. We remember him as a special and unique community leader who spent a very significant part of his life on the issues of concern to the Indian American Community. He was one of the foremost leaders of Indo American Democratic Organization and because of his enormous efforts, the organization survived well during the most critical years of it's existence. Some of the most positive qualities of Mathew are unique to him and hard to emulate.
We new Mathew since late 70's
