Michael J. Brickley, age 60, of Mt. Prospect, passed away August 4, 2015. Mike was a kind, loving husband and father who was active in his church and the PADS charity. He was an avid Chicago sports fan and Bears season ticket holder for nearly 30 years. Michael was a voracious consumer of non- fiction, world history, and several daily newspapers. He had over 700 volumes in his own personal library carefully organized by subject and era. Mike never had a bad word to say about anybody. Loved by so many including his wife, Carol, his children Theresa, Patrick, and Meghan and the extended families of his siblings and in-laws. He was dearly loved and precious to Nick, River, Oliver, and Colleen. He will be greatly missed and greatly remembered. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. My dad Bob Haider worked with Mike for years at Motorola in Schaumburg. Mike & my dad were very good friends.
Mike had a very kind, sweet heart. He is greatly missed.

Dearest Carol and Mike's entire family!

We loved him so ................and you! Personally, I don't have any "funny stories" ......... I just know what kind of a man Mike was - a good, solid, "steady" man (with a wicked sense of humor - lol)

After a visit to his home, Michael always walked me to my car and stayed in the driveway until I drove away, even if it was raining or snowing. He was always the gentleman to me and I loved him dearly.
