Michael Carr Obituary

Michael Patrick Carr, 91, of Glen Ellyn, IL peacefully passed away on December 7, 2021 after a brave battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born in Donegal, Ireland to Columb and Anne (Byrne) Carr, Mike came to America in the 1950s and had a fulfilling career in the transit industry as a supervisor with PACE, one of the largest bus services in North America. In 1969, Mike married his wife, Mary, and became a dedicated father when their son, Michael was born a few years later. Mike was also a passionate sports fan, enjoying baseball games and other sports with his son. Mike leaves behind his devoted wife, Mary; his beloved son Michael; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends and family will meet Saturday, December 18, 2021, beginning at 8:45 a.m. until time for a Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at Saint James the Apostle Catholic Church, 480 South Park Avenue, Glen Ellyn.
