Michael Goldman Obituary

Michael Goldman, of Highland Park, IL and Longboat Key, Fl, died peacefully after a brief illness. Son of Marion Esral Goldman, deceased, he was born in Cleveland, Ohio and despite living in the Chicago area for fifty-four years, was a forever Indians and Browns fan. A graduate of Case-Western Reserve University in Cleveland, he was hired by Helene Curtis Industries where he started in an entry-level position. When he retired, he was the company's chief operating officer. He is survived by his wife, Judith Klein Goldman, his daughter, Karen Goldman Miller (Kurtis) and his son, Richard Goldman. He was the proud "Gamps" to Eric and Scott Miller and to Nathaniel and Lily Goldman. He is also survived by his sister, Marcia Gisser (Marvin) and his brother, James Goldman (Jackie) of Cleveland, Ohio. His ashes will be joined with those of his beloved mistress, Miss Maggie, his late, great English Cocker Spaniel who always wanted to be the alpha dog (and now has her chance). A small private celebration of his life will be held in Sarasota, Fl. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the following: The Michael and Judith Goldman Scholarship Fund, Case Western Reserve University - Office of Advancement Services; 10900 Euclid Ave. - Cleveland Ohio 44106 Attn; Gwen Johnson or www.case.edu/giving The Parkinson's Foundation: www.parkison.org or Canines For Independence: www.cci.org

I am so sorry to hear this news. I worked with Michael in the early 70's when I was just starting my career as a copywriter and Michael had great advice and all the patience in the world! Peace and blessings to his friends and family.
