Irving adopted me as part of his family. I enjoyed knowing everyone for all the many years. When he died I would still go over to the house and visit with Michael. If I wanted to get aggravated we would discuss politics. He was a good friend and I will think about him every time I pass his house. He was to young to die.

Michael was a close friend of my mother, Patricia. He was our family's fun uncle for as long as I can remember. When you got to know him, Michael was kind man who loved to tell stories. I remember many times helping him out with chores and tasks at his house, how he would tell me stories about my family and about Chicago. We would enjoy his favorite beverage, Mike's Hard Lemonade (besides Coca Cola Zero) after a long day of work. I will miss his stories, his cheerful laugh, and shaking his big plumber hand whenever I would leave. Thank you for everything over all these years, Mr. Miller. Rest in Peace.
