Hi Maria,
I'm so sorry for the loss of MIke. I hired Mike as a Neiman-Marcus LP Manager at Oak Brook in 1985 and we always remained in touch. I don't believe we ever went more than a month without speaking. Mike hired my son Adam. He was a dear friend, someone I loved and respected. I lost my own sister at 34 years of age, 10 years ago and not a day goes by without thinking of her. You and your family will be in our prayers. I hope I can be of some help at some time, please feel free to contact me.
Love, Mike Sax

To the Savino Family,

I would like to extend my condolences. I worked for Mike from 96' to 01' in Washington DC and Minneapolis. He helped me tremendously during my career. I can remember when I decided to move back home and leave the company, that Mike was very supportive and said that family is the most important thing.

Mike will surely be missed, but his contributions to his profession will always be remembered.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Savino family. God Bless.

Dear Mary Jo and the rest of the Savino family,

Even though it's been years since we've seen each other, I remember Michael as been a great kid and from what I've seen in this guest book, he was a great man as well. Your mom and dad did a great job with all of you.

Dear Mary Jo and John as well as the rest of the family. I should like to offer my condolences. Michael must have been quite young to leave us. I am an old friend of the Savino family. As a matter of fact, I was Saverio's sponsor for confirmation. I wish I was in better health. I would offer my sympathy in person. Dr. Michael Di Gilio

Mike and I worked together at Montgomery Ward back in the late 80's. I've kept in contact with Mike over the years. We talked and traded emails during his long battle with cancer. Despite the odds, he just never gave up. It was all about being there for his family. Mike was one of the good guys! My deepest sympathies and most heartfelt prayers to the family.

I worked with Mike for 8 years, and he battled this disease as a complete gentleman. He respected privacy, and I respected the magnitude of what he was facing and what his thoughts may have been. I enjoyed the lengthy conversations when they surfaced! My prayers are with you and your family. These will be trying times, but just keep the memories alive.

On the Loss of Your Husband and Dad,
Maria, Patricia, and Grace

Some men leave their mark on the world by the way they live and the difference they make in the lives they touch.

Let each tear that falls be a gentle reminder that you and Mike truly loved each other,
and made such a meaningful difference in each other's lives -
and that is a gift that no loss or sorrow, or time or distance can ever take away.

Patricia and Grace,

When the joys are still remembered
But the sorrow has quietly gone,
There will always be a special place
In the heart — where love lives on.

Wear your heart necklace that your daddy gave you near your heart and,
May your special memories be a comfort to you at this time and forever.

To My Dear Friend Mike,

My dear friend Mike is gone he is finally at peace he has battle cancer for a long time. Mike has been my friend for so long that I don’t even know what I am going to do without him.

We've been there for each other during times of hurt and offered each other strength during times of loss...

We've watched each other change and grow in so many different ways,
celebrating each other's accomplishments and supporting each other's dreams.
We've laughed and talked, and confided in each other the things we'd never dare to tell
anyone else.... It has always been good to run my business decisions through Mike over several glasses of wine... and to get a different point of view.
Mike’s been the best friend any person could be, and I hope you know in your heart how much that friendship means to me.
Mike may you rest in peace I love you and will miss you forever.

Love your best buddy,
Sean
