Dear Tom,

My thoughts have been with you, Nancy and the boys since you wrote. I've spent many hours remembering the many times I spent with Nancy in Madison (and visiting in Houston) and with you 2 in Chicago. You have been good friends--always very welcoming.

My heart goes out to Nancy's family. I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy's parents at her graduation in Madison many years ago. I also thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Peter and Bruce while in Madison-- and Julia too who I knew a little when visiting in Chicago. I remember being impressed by the the closeness of the Bunn family.

I will remember Nancy as a thoughtful, caring person. She found incredible joy in her children and in her family life. She expressed this every time I talked to her.

I feel fortunate to have met Nancy and am very sorry for her loss.

If there's anything I can offer, please let me know.

love,

Mary Kay Wilcox

Dear Tom, Ben and Ryan,

Nancy was a classmate at Western Reserve Academy and graduated with her friends in 1976. We were saddened to learn, by way of a note from the Academy, that we have lost her. Her wry smile and sense of humor will stay with all of us. We were lucky to know her.

May God bless and keep her.

Dear Tom, Ben and Ryan,

I hope your faith comforts you at this very difficult time. Nancy's suffering is over and she is home with Our Dear Lord and all of our loved ones who have gone on before her. You will always have your reunion with her to look forward to. I wish I could have stayed in Chicago longer and been with all of you today to celebrate Nancy's life. I hope to see you on my next visit in July. Take care. God bless you, Nancy, the Bunns and all of the Murnighan family. Much love, Susie

Dear Tom, Ben, and Ryan,

I first met your mother when I was taking a stroll down Chestnut Ave. with my son Michael in a carriage and she was strolling with Ryan. We became quick friends because she had just moved here from Lincoln Park and we had kids the same age. Your mother is a very special and unique person, with whom I shared an intimacy that belied what little contact we had. She touched many lives very deeply in her time here with us. I feel grateful to have known her.

My sympathies are with you in these tough days ahead. Please know that you have much love all around you.

Dear Tom, and all the Bunn Family,

As you know, Nancy is a true friend and we spent our years together at Western Reserve Academy surviving on her wit, our wiles and lots of Tab. Nancy spoke German far better than I did, and thus I often would rely on her to assist with Herr Webber's challenging assignments. In fact, I spent many a night in her dorm room wondering where life (after WRA!) would lead us... My father George (who is not with us now) invited Nancy, our German teacher Herr Webber and me to an opera in Cleveland during High School. Der Meistersinger was long, and boring, we thought at the time, but when I visited Nancy about 8 weeks ago, she and I could remember how wonderful it really was (being over 40 helped...) to all of you who shared her spirit and her spark, especially to everyone who spent time with her during WRA years, she will be so missed and is much loved.

Dear Family of Nancy,

I am Julia Bunn Hollis' sister- in -law and sister of Ben Hollis. I enjoyed the warmth and hospitality at her home just before thanksgiving a few years ago. She made the most DELICIOUS pear salad and dinner and so enjoyed her company that fall evening. I know you all have so many of them to savor . May they bring some comfort to you in these very rough days.

All my love to you,

Mary, Julian, Cristin and Raul

What a great mom! She will be truly missed at all our Murnighan gatherings. Much love and prayers....Duke & Terri DeLano and family.
