Nancy Waldron Obituary

Nancy Ann Waldron, 73, longtime LakeForest resident, succumbed suddenly to Acute Myeloid Leukemia on December 18th, 2005 in Hartford, CT. Writer, artist, loving wife and mother, she brought much happiness and good cheer to friends and family and will be dearly missed. She moved to Connecticut in August 2005 to be closer to her daughter, Melissa Waldron-Lehner, of Brooklyn, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Norvel Waldron, former advertising manager for Holiday magazine of Curtis Publishing, at the Equitable Building on North Michigan Avenue, which is where they met. Nancy was the daughter of Frank and Wilma Mulhall. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her step-daughter, Honour Waldron; brothers Donald, Terence, Kenneth, and James Mulhall; stepmother Fran Mulhall, along with many cherished friends--all blessed by her spirit. We can all still hear her laugh. A remembrance of her life will be held on her 73rd birthday, February 18th, 2006 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Ryerson Nature Conservancy, 21950 N. Riverwoods Road, Deerfield, IL. RSVP 646-408-9653. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Living Tribute Program of the National Audubon Society or to a charity that befits her memory best.

Nancy,
my soul friend, it is hard to believe you are gone from us for over a year,
now. We who knew you in life will never forget your laugh, your love and
your wonderful psychic gifts. I still have your Star Queen charm to remind
me of our connection this time around. God Bless You and keep you forever

Nancy was a warm, charming lady who had the gift of making everyone happy to be around her. She graced this worldly stage with her vibrant personality. I am glad to have known her, Melissa, and I will always remember that wonderful smile.

My childhood memories are filled with her laughter, her imagination and her oyster stuffing. I always felt the vivacity in her spirit, even before I was old enough to understand the word. Even now there is something mystical around her that I just accept on faith. Know I love you Mrs. W and I always feel you in my life. Love, -Stephanie

To have known Nancy was to be blessed from the Divine.

She brought Heaven to Earth, she was an Angel of Love, Joy and Laughter.

My friend, Nance, was also music to my heart.

Everyday she is in my thoughts for her Angelic presence is in my heart forever.

Know how blessed you were to be her child in this lifetime.

Nancy was my first friend in Illinois when my family moved to Bannockburn from New York. When business took my husband and me to Asia for several weeks, it was Nancy and her husband, Norv, who cared for our high school daughter, Sarah. Our friendship grew during several moves of both families, and to her death she was my closest friend. My husband, Bruce, and I miss her merry laughter and the sense of humor and of proportion that underlay it, her inquiring mind, her sensitivity to things seen and unseen, and her noble soul, amply demonstrated in her care for Norv during the physical torment of his last years. She was always helpful to her friends in their times of great need. She will be sorely missed.

I'll always remember beautiful Nancy with the sparkling blue eyes and a robust laugh that made you smile. We used to exchange books, recipes, delicious lunches and go antiquing. Even after she left St. Louis, we kept in touch and visited. I am so saddened for Melissa and family and find it hard to believe Nanc is gone. Both Don and I will miss her and she will always have a spot in my heart.

As we release our loved ones to the Joy of the Spiritual realms we still deal with the daily loss of physical closeness. May the Infinite well-spring of God's Love and the protecting Comfort of Master-Power fill your hearts as the adjustmets of new life directions are met.

Lovingly,

Judith Lamb-Lion

I met Nancy when I first moved to Lake Forest over twenty years ago. She was a like-minded spirit interested in anything "not of this world". She helped me settle in and find my place. She will always have a special place in my heart.

John and I are so happy we were able to spend time with Nancy in what we didn't know were the last months of here life, in such a beautiful setting in western Connecticut. She had such a warm and lively spirit and was great fun to talk with. We will miss her.

Nancy was a joyful friend with whom I shared many years of this life's journey. We met when she signed up for a "Mindfulness" class series I taught. Her creative mind opened up many new awarenesses for mine! Our hearts sang as together we grew in spiritual understanding.

I'll always remember Nancy's warmth of spirit and generosity of heart. Her curious nature and hungry mind meant that she was born anew every day of her life, and I will profoundly miss her kindness, laughter and uplifting presence in mine.
