Patricia Peshak Obituary

Patricia Ann Syzmaniak (Simmons) was born on April 24, 1940, to Anne Elizabeth Thilges, age 22, and George Leon Syzmaniak, age 24. Her father started the G.L. Simmons Machine Shop in Chicago and changed his last name from Syzmaniak to Simmons. She was the eldest of 4: one brother, James Edward Simmons (Cheryl) and two sisters, Maxine S. (Simmons) Chisholm (Dr. John Roderick) and Mary Ellen Simmons (Gail Rakauskas). She was preceded in death by Anne and George (parents), her husband Fred Humphrey (married 32 years), her brother James Simmons, her oldest son Patrick Humphrey, and her second son George Humphrey. Pat and Fred had five children together: Patrick, George, Todd (Holly), Daniel (Theresa), and Anne (Humphrey) DePersia. They were blessed with 4 Grandchildren (Rachel, Jacinda, Brandon and Monica) and 4 Great-Grandchildren (Evaleigh, Kaci, Lexi and Noah) who were the sparkle in her eyes. On March 21, 2022, Patricia succumbed to a major stroke after 6 days in a Loudon, Tennessee hospice facility.There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, June 4th, at 12:30pm at the Ivanhoe Congregational Church, UCC, with an opportunity to gather in the Fellowship Hall with family and friends for sharing memories and food after the service. (21078 W. Hwy 176, Mundelein). The family welcomes your attendance and your prayers.
