Will always remember Fr. Harrity as a great Dean and a good and kind man. I still miss our neighborhood breakfasts after Mass at St. Vincent's, and already miss his wise counsel.

I have known alot of priests, both religious and diocesan. Pat Harrity is at the top of the list. He was definitely a man of the highest integrity. He knew who he was, and who he wasn't. He possessed a unique set of gifts as professor, dean and spiritual guide. Pat's spirit emanated great care and concern for others, along with humility and simplicity of heart. Over the past years, I would have an occasion to see him at an event, or in between things. He was always gracious and a true gentleman, asking about family, asking how I was doing, just uttering some short comment or two that would evoke a smile or laugh from both of us. Pat lived his priesthood so naturally, like no one else I have known as priest. We each had our "favorite" CM's that helped us in one way or another. Pat was mine. He pointed the way to Christ and to Vincent. Rest in peace, Father Harrity. Deo gratias.

Father Pat,
You were a true guide to our class of young men at Lemont (class of 1971). You were a great leader for us and will always be in our hearts.
I also thank you for your blessings when you presided at my marriage to my wife June in 1976. June and I will always remember you for going out of your way to be there for us on that special day.
Yours in St. Vincent,
Paul & June Crumrine

To all who knew him we know we have lost one of the best. May he rest in the peace he so readily deserves and know that he lives on here in all of the lives he has touched along the way. We'll miss you not only as a priest but a friend.

My sincere condolences to the Harrity family. I was a student at St. Vincent DePaul, Lemont (class of '69) and always thought Fr. Harrity was an example of what a priest should be. I had the good fortune of seeing him last June in Perryville and was saddened to learn of his illness. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Father Pat,
You meant so much to our class (Lemont 1971.) You were our teacher, coach and friend.
Please watch out for Kevin up there. He can probably use your help.

Thank you, Fr. Pat for all you gave to the DePaul community and to my spiritual development. Your kindness captured the sense of hospitality in CCM and the Vincentian family. I will miss your sense of humor and warm heart.

It was a pleasure to reconnect with Father Pat, who was a first cousin of my mother Ann Harrity Cednik, a few years ago when he was pastor at St. Vincent's Parish and we were visiting from Maryland. Father Pat presided at our wedding in 1969 and also at my mother's funeral in 2007. He provided prayerful support for me and my family during a prolonged illness in 2008. Father Pat was a blessing to the large extended Harrity clan and will be missed by many. Thank you, Father Pat. We love you. Rest in peace.

Father Pat,
You will be very missed. Thank you for touching mine and my housemates lives during our year in the Vincent and Louise House. You have touched the lives on many DePaulians, CCMers and V&Lers and we were all changed for the better. I will miss you very much.

To all my sister-in-law's and brother in law,
I am so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. He loved all of you and was so happy to be near his family. The last visit we had together in Perrysville, he was in great spirits and his room was filled with family pictures and of course his Irish flag and DePaul jersey and hats. I know God has welcomed him home and we all can remember him with love. I know he is missed. With love, your sister in law, Peggy
